At Quinta das Corujeiras you will get a taste of Portuguese life with Dutch hospitality. This place, east of Porto, is located in a beautiful and varied landscape. The Quinta covers half a mountain, including an old vineyard full of biodiversity, without mass tourism. Enjoy nature, walk around the estate, visit the Friday market in Mesao Frio, and have a relaxed lunch with a Vinho Verde. There is a small waterfall 2 km away, accessible via a beautiful walk.
Quinta das Corujeiras offers a view of the green Douro Valley, the famous wine region and Unesco World Heritage. Here everything revolves around small-scale and quality, in a landscape where nature is in charge.

Wild vineyard camp above the Douro valley
Before you rush off along the Douro Valley, tasting your way through its big-name vineyards, why don’t you catch your breath in a tiny old one first? Quinta das Corujeiras, an hour east of Porto, is small-scale and wild at heart, with a focus on biodiversity that fills the air with butterflies. Four pitches for tents and two for camper vans occupy terraces between trees and vines, and there are four yurts and a bell tent too. The yurts come with a welcoming bottle of vinho verde. It’s the perfect tipple for toasting the plunging Douro Valley view.

After leading a busy life in The Netherlands working working in the hotel/restuarant, agricultural and medical sectors. We decided to make a complete change in our life and that led us to this beautiful northern part of Portugal. After a considerable search we finally found a wine Quinta that was within our reach both emotionally and
financially. We had our first glimpse in the dark (very exciting) and by daylight we were immediately charmed with the grapevines, our own well and a little woodland.
Welcome to our Quinta and we hope that you will be just as charmed as we still are.

The accommodation here consists of 4 Eco yurts on a platform made with portuguese stones called pedras. 4 tent spaces and 2 spaces for small campers. The areas are very spacious and not fenced, with a hammock for each one. We also have a Bell tent.
Gestaco lies in the northern part of Portugal, 85 kilometers to the east of Porto. Good roads and an hour by car from the airport.
The village lies in the province of Baiao, a mountainous area with forests and nature reserves. If you are looking for an exciting nightlife this is not the place to be.
